About VCON
VCON, the Vancouver Science Fiction Convention, is a fantasy, gaming, and science fiction convention held annually in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – and the oldest of its kind in the country! The first VCON was held April 9-10, 1971 at the Hotel Georgia in Vancouver. The Guest of Honour was Ursula K. Le Guin. VCON 1 was sponsored by University of British Columbia’s Science Fiction Society, the B.C. Science Fiction Association (an offshoot of the UBC club that had just formed in 1970) and the Simon Fraser University Science Fiction Society.
The game was absolutely and hilarious. I wish the con could have lasted for months. We’re going to try and find a group to play with here in Alberta. Hopefully we’ll have half the fun we had with you guys.
We’ll definitely be back next year, I hope you will too.
